From the Curate…
Thank you!
This week marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one; the St Oswald's graft team are commissioned on Sunday followed by my licensing as Priest-in-charge on Monday.
The famous African proverb states that 'it takes a whole village to raise a child.' To translate the phrase to my own experience, 'it takes a whole church to raise a curate.' Your friendship, encouragement, prayers, example, and faithfulness have helped shape my life and ministry: thank you!
We move a mile away, grateful for all God has taught us, thankful for how he has called a graft team to join us, and excited at all God will do in and through his church for his glory. Thank you for your prayers for us all, and for your partnership in Christ.
With our thanks and prayers,
Simon (and Rebecca, Rosanna, and Jacob!)

Mark is assisting with Toddlers on Tuesday and taking a home communion on Wednesday.
Graham Salmon’s funeral is on Thursday. Please pray for Gillian and the family at this time.
Mission Prayers: Connected Church Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Please pray for: The fragile democracy - violent protests following the presidential elections in November have been prevalent in and around Arusha where our Connected Church project is based. Please pray for Bishop Stanley and his team, for wisdom in the peacemaking dialogue, supporting the most vulnerable in a changing social situation.
For the Church and Community Mobilisation Programme (CCMP) which continues to expand in rural Kilimanjaro. New villages have had life changing training and support to develop new small businesses which enable them to provide financial support to their families. This is huge for family units.
Our successful fundraising at ASE last year means we have been able to send an additional £1500 to support the programme. They are very thankful for this addition.
